Operator and brand
Donuts 4 Donuts is a product and trading brand operated by OK4UK Ltd. It is not a separate company, registered charity or charitable incorporated organisation. Customer communications and contractual documents should identify OK4UK Ltd as the platform operator.
Contact: hello@donuts4donuts.com. The registered company number, registered office, VAT position and formal correspondence address must be inserted before live trading.
Marketplace terms
The platform introduces customers to independent bakery partners. Each product page must identify the fulfilling bakery. The bakery is responsible for preparing the food, maintaining food-business registrations, supplying accurate ingredients and allergen information, packaging and fulfilling accepted orders. OK4UK Ltd operates the marketplace, customer interface, payment flow and support process.
Orders
- An order is only accepted when payment succeeds and the bakery confirms capacity.
- If a bakery cannot accept an order, the customer will be offered a replacement or full refund.
- Substitutions require customer approval where flavour, dietary or allergen information changes.
- Customers must provide accurate delivery details and safe access instructions.
Prices and fees
The complete payable price, mandatory delivery charges and any service fees must be shown before payment. The community contribution is funded from the stated order economics and is not an additional charitable donation unless expressly selected.
Privacy notice
OK4UK Ltd will process account, contact, delivery, order, payment-reference, support and preference information to provide the marketplace, fulfil contracts, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and improve the service. Payment-card data should be collected by Stripe rather than stored by Donuts 4 Donuts.
Customer details are shared with the fulfilling bakery and relevant delivery provider only to fulfil and support the order. Service providers may include Vercel, the connected database provider, Clerk, Stripe and Resend after those services are activated.
Users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, or object to certain processing. Operational records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, disputes or food-safety matters. Retention periods must be finalised before launch. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@donuts4donuts.com.
Cancellations, refunds and complaints
Fresh doughnuts are perishable and often prepared to order. Statutory cancellation rights can differ from ordinary non-perishable online purchases. This does not affect a customer’s rights where products are faulty, unsafe, incorrectly described, missing or not delivered.
- Cancellation before bakery acceptance: normally a full refund.
- Cancellation after preparation begins: reviewed against the product and circumstances.
- Bakery cancellation: full refund or an agreed replacement.
- Quality, missing-item or delivery complaint: report promptly with the order number and supporting information.
- Approved refunds return to the original payment method; timing depends on the payment provider.
Customers can complain to hello@donuts4donuts.com. The final process must specify response targets and escalation routes.
Food and allergen safety
Every product must display its ingredients, the presence of any of the 14 regulated allergens, relevant cross-contamination warnings and the date the information was confirmed by the bakery. The same allergen information must accompany the delivered order.
- Do not rely only on icons such as “vegan” or “gluten-free.”
- Customers with allergies should read the product record and contact the bakery through the platform where clarification is needed.
- Basket and checkout must preserve the exact allergen version accepted by the customer.
- Substitutions that change allergen information are prohibited without informed customer approval.
- Bakeries must report ingredient changes immediately and pause affected products until reviewed.
No working bakery environment should be described as completely “allergy safe” unless the claim is properly substantiated.
Community-giving programme
Donuts 4 Donuts is a commercial marketplace with a community-giving programme. It is not presented as a charity. For the demonstration, £0.50 per completed qualifying box is shown as the intended contribution.
Only paid, completed and non-refunded orders should increase the verified fund. Refunds must reverse the related contribution. Public reporting should show contributions, adjustments, approved allocations, recipient, number of treats, fulfilment partner and evidence. Any administration deduction must be disclosed before it is taken.
Recipient nominations do not guarantee selection. OK4UK Ltd should apply safeguarding, fairness, conflict-of-interest and evidence checks before approving a community drop.
Accessibility
The marketplace aims to support keyboard navigation, readable contrast, descriptive controls, responsive layouts and reduced motion. Users can turn off sparkle motion from the marketplace footer. Accessibility problems can be reported to hello@donuts4donuts.com.
